Treatment Process Overview:

1. 1. Equalisation: Balances effluent load by homogenizing wastewater in an equalization tank before further treatment.
2. 2. pH Control: Adjusts the pH to within 5.5–9.0 using acids or bases as required.
3. 3. Coagulation: Involves adding aluminum sulphate to make particles clump together for easier removal.
4. 4. Sedimentation: Slows water flow to allow heavier particles to settle, forming sludge.
5. 5. Filtration: Removes remaining particulates using sand and gravel layers.
6. 6. Disinfection: Chlorine is used to kill harmful microorganisms before discharge.
7. 7. Sludge Drying: Settled solids are dried naturally on beds before disposal.
